Today, we acknowledge the role played by your successive generations of Ghanaians towards your role played in the liberation of our country from colonialism and imperialism.

We will continue to work assiduously to sustain the legacies of the great freedom fighter in areas of decent education, a decent healthcare system , decent jobs,and adequate safety net for the vulnerable and marginalized, and a decent retirement and to live in atmosphere of freedom,security,law and order. 

"if we do not approach the problems in Africa with a common front and a common purpose, we shall be haggling and wrangling among ourselves until we are colonized again and become the tolls of a far greater colonialism than we suffered hitherto".
