According to the student in Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skill Training and Entrepreneur Development (AAM-UTED), that the SRC President in his first L.A meeting he may it Clear that any student that will pay 80% of his fees will be allowed to register his/her courses. But the account section don't allow student to register. This made a student by name Cosmos Kwabena Fordjour in the Information Technology Department to write an open letter to the SRC president.
The letter is us follows:
AN OPEN LETTER TO THE SRC PRESIDENT-AAMUSTED
Dear H. E SRC President,
AAMUSTED STUDENTS ARE NOT HAPPY ABOUT THE MODE OF PAYMENT OF FEES
I warmly greet you, Your Excellency.
It is a great disappointment that, I write you this open letter.
Some months ago, during the season of student politics, you were on our necks to seek our votes. You never rested: chasing us in our lecture halls, halls of residence, hostels, churches, association meetings, etc.
Students liked your political message, policies and programmes intended to be implemented should you become SRC President. You succeeded in winning our hearts and votes to become the SRC President for 2021/2022 academic year.
Upon assumption of office, we have been waiting to hear from you or to see you implementing your promises. Until last week when you had your first Local Assembly meeting with the student. You made it clear to us in paragraph 14 of your massage “Also, it was agreed that those who are in good standing as in fully paid list would be posted on notice boards. We also agreed that we are not in normal times so students should be allowed to write the exams if 80% of their fees are paid. We encourage students to go to their respective department accounts office for clarifications and clearances and also pay their fees on time.” But Mr. president student are not allowed to clear themselves at the department accounts office.
Mr. President with all due respect, I will like to know if student will be allowed to write exams if they did not clear themselves in the account office?
Again, you know what we went through this pandemic. After paying our fees, we did not stay on campus. That was what brought about the LMS which the Institution claim is free but without data you can not access any files or upload any files then what make it free. So, the Institution should consider us.
With all due respect, His Excellency, I will like you to take an action about this before it gets late.
